In 2023 and '24 I worked on a show involving a human-sized puppet and my lifelong-theater-animal friend and colleague Sjoerd Schwibettus of Walking Faces (based in Arnhem, NL).

Building and performing a full-scale human puppet presented lots of challenges. I succeeded in making it mobile, dynamic and robust. It has all the mobility of a human body and its main joints. But all this mobility makes its playability by one person difficult. Making it playable by one puppeteer will require much more engineering. With two puppeteers, performing this puppet could work very well.
I learned very much from this project, and there is more to show, of course - but that's for a future edit of this post, as I am wont to do ;-)
